EP Review: BESTIAL INVASION "Trilogy: Prisoners Of Miserable Fate" (Independent) by Simon Brown

Independent
Throwing shades to the “Big Four” of the 80’s, Bestial Invasion waste no time in letting the listener know what they’re all about. The best power metal vocals I have heard in a long time, excellent production with progressive interludes to add diversity. Easily my favourite release of the week, Ukraine’s Bestial Invasion successfully combine the genres of progressive, thrash and power metal without it sounding like Dream Theatre. “Zodiac: Crime World Mystery” is the standout amongst all the four tracks on this EP. “Caligula: Salacious Age” takes the bold step of incorporating samples and pulls it off without it detracting from the music as is often the case with other artists. This band will definitely appeal to fans of Symphony X, Rhapsody and the like. Production is clear with all instruments able to showcase their talents. I look forward to hearing more from these musicians in due course. -Simon Brown

1. Prisoner of Miserable Fate
2. Zodiac: Crime World Mystery
3. Caligula: Salacious Age
