Who’s in the mood for a new single? Actually let’s shake things up, who’s in the mood for an ELECTRO flavoured single? Well if you answered yes then boy do I have the single for you!
Allow me to introduce the latest song by Funeral Pyre.
So, this is an interesting one. Because unlike many techno flavoured songs that you hear on the radio or in the club this one has a more ‘cerebral’ tone to it in nature.
This song relies on a few core attributes that just aren’t as ‘commonly used’ in techno/electronic music nowadays when in my personal experience the best music out of this style of music comes from artists who utilize
-Patience
-Focus
-Attention To Detail
-Natural Progression
What I mean by this is, although it’s fun to hear an artist say like ‘Skrillex’ who makes sure each song is loud and abrasive, quick to build and explosive within in minutes without any down time after the intro.
This artist and many artists like DeadMau5, Daft Punk, and Against All Logic know how to utilize the structure of a song, use the freedom of ‘time’ to their advantage to create something lengthy yet adventurous and mysterious.
This track here is more on the ‘dark’ side of the techno spectrum which means a lot of haunting vibes and unsettling noises but there’s no rush to get anywhere on the track, it’s just a song that is allowed to breath and allowing the listener to ingest it all in at their own pace.
