CD Review: VULTUR Vulture's Beak

VULTUR
Vulture's Beak
War Productions
Here we go with another gem from Greek underground scene. This piece of morbidity is a demo, and spits fours tracks full of corrosive death metal ala early wave in ‘90s, in USA. You will hear nothing but a bunch of destructive guitar riffs, explosive drums, and low gutturals, which seems to be drowned in blood. Everything here sounds putrid and corrupted like an open tomb, and I have to say recording can’t be better for a demo: all sounds clear and direct to the skull. Let’s say that these guys took the essence of real death metal genre, and give us a particular perspective of rottenness and morbidity, rooted in old names like Autopsy, Obituary, Morgoth, Death, etc. If you ask me, after I heard this short demo I’m still hungry, and I can’t wait for the release of debut full length album. It’s highly recommended for those who worship stinky death metal and morbid vocals, really. -Victor Varas
