Film Review: Date Movie by Sophia Cynthia Cabral

Comedy, Romance
Release date: February 17, 2006
Companies involved: New Regency Pictures, Epsilon Motion Pictures, Regency Enterprises
Director: Aaron Seltzer, Jason Friedberg (uncredited)
Plot: The story is about a girl, a hopeless romantic after the prince charming and… some funny turns and twists along the road
Review: From the first minute I saw I was hooked, it’s just too funny, the acting is incredibly good, the parodies involved just fit really too well. It has twist and turns and wink here and there, really well placed and honestly it’s a movie I could re-watch endlessly on a weekend, it never gets old. One of my favorite twists is Andy’s introduction; Jane’s face is just priceless, just as the mind-reading scene. It is a movie I highly recommend to anyone that has no clue what to do in a weekend and that just wants a laugh… or a thousand. It’s one of those movies that are easy to follow and enjoy, you actually see it before you realize you did. -Sophia Cynthia Cabral
