Poem: Untitled by Jillanna Babb

Untitled
by Jillanna Babb

I am the Ill-favored
Black Cat, sharing your shadow.
The Spider on your ceiling, protecting you.
The Mouse in your wall, hungry but waiting.
I was not wanted.
There is no place for me here.
Taking up space.
Using resources.
Making a mess.

Our land was stolen.
Our nature destroyed.
Yet still we survive, dreaming the World.
