‘La Pisaderia’ is a concept album which is an auditory nightmare come to life inspired by sleep paralysis.
Do you hear the shit I have to review? Damn I swear I’ve gotten 5 of these types of ‘nightmare/torture’ related concept albums and all of them take off a little bit more of my moral sanity at a time my god.
This is the latest record to come out this year June and I mean as someone who actually has experienced ‘sleep paralysis’ in their lifetime this thing is as you would expect ‘Terrifying’. It’s 12:04am midnight here in Australia and I’m sitting here getting ready to play something as light hearted and funny as possible to counteract the nightmare which is this record from destroying my week to come.
Let’s talk production because this record has been specifically designed to tear out any shred of peace or stability inside the human being and replace it with absolute fear, agony, pain and suffering and boy oh boy does it leave a lasting effect.
This is an instrumental effort which makes it that much more devastating as your left with nothing but the haunting sounds of someone trying to recreate the most scary moment I’ve had in my life, so if your someone who gets a sadistic kick from feeling like your internally suffering then by all means this is the record for you.
Look, if I dwell on this record too much more I’ll probably have to check into a mental institution for real, this fucking record is creepy as all hell so I guess they did their job perfectly! Corban Skipwith
