Video Review: INTROSPECTION Gun, Powder and Blood by Simon Brown

Gun, Powder and Blood
From the upcoming full length Anthropophagic Father
Taken from the forthcoming album “Anthropophargic Father,” Brazil’s Introspection deliver a nice blackened thrash assault on the senses. Uncompromising tremolo picking and rasped vocals provide the backdrop for a sound almost verging on the bestial/war metal genre. The drums fit well within the production and the bass is also clearly produced, meaning nothing is lost on the listener. It has a raw and unpolished feel which is exactly what this style demands. Minimal tempo changes allow these artists to convey their fury and passion for a style which has often been misunderstood or ridiculed for minimalistic approaches to production. I look forward to hearing more from this band as they have delivered consistent blackened thrash releases of high quality. Hopefully the forthcoming album will continue to showcase this band’s fury, passion for their chosen art in the same uncompromising manner. For fans of Destroyer 666, Bestial Warlust and Bephelgor. -Simon Brown
