A family that has lost a child recently adopts a new girl into the family.
The new kid, Esther, slowly gets into the family, her sister –who is deaf- and her new parents along grandma seems to accept her lovingly, however, her new brother Daniel not so much.
The movie is about how things aren’t as innocent as they seem to be at first. The artistic sweet & young Esther slowly increases on her dark acts.
Personally speaking, the movie is quite interesting, the acting is quite heart-fell. Esther’s character is delightfully acted; her build-up is quite stable, just like the struggle inside Kate.
However, I do find that some of the non-explicit sex scenes are a tad unnecessary past the 1st moment.
The fact we see people using hand signs to speak with the deaf child is one of the heart-warming points between all that happens same as the piano playing.
I wouldn’t call this movie unforgettable but I do would say it’s a quite good one. I admit I kind of wished there was a prequel to explain Esther’s origins for example or Kate & John’s issues more deeply tho. -Sophia Cynthia Cabral
