The Wall
by Debbie Dixon
The darkness has enveloped you
Surrounded your calm with chaos
Your moral compass is not reading true
Deep within the maze of your mind you are lost
You looked to be saved thinking I was the one
But the wall that you built blocked your view
And seeing the mass of mortar and stone
I cried but there was no more I could do
The tomb of your enshrinement
Is now crushing the life out of you
I do not have the ability to dismantle it
For the weight would most certainly crush me too
