Band Review: LEAVES' EYES

LEAVES' EYES
Leaves’ Eyes is a Dark Metal band from Norway, consists of lead vocalists Liv Kristine and Alexander Krull, on guitar and bass - Thorsten Bauer, guitar - Pete Streit and drums - Joris Nijenhuis. Trying to put their music in any specific genre is difficult at best. They use history as their subject, apply the grandiose composers such as Hans Zimmer and Richard Wagner and work them into fantasy, folk rock and the whispers of hymns sung in echoing chapels, while remaining true to their metal roots. The already have an impressive collection of CD’s - all worthy of a master music officionado. A discerning ear will take you past the perfection of their musical prowess and into a lyrical masterpiece. Symphonies of the Night (2013), Meredead (2011), Njord Special Fan Edition (2010), Njord (2009), My Destiny (2009), Legend Land (2006), Vinland Saga (2005), Elegy (2005), Lovelorn (2004), Into the Light (2004). All of this and then a collection of DVD’s of concerts and movies made from their music. Check them out. It is a journey worth taking. -Teresa Clayton
