Poem: 'Lights (Age of strife)' by Natasa Nikolic

Lights (Age of strife)
by Natasa Nikolic

I look at rain, I see light
Hours, years die, they leave me

Voice of reason silenced, ancient resurrected
Old-new excuses conjured, old rhymes renewed

Pay for kindness and pray for truth,
Justice is crying in chains

Sum of sums explored, we struggle
ragged, and now what?

Millenia of procreation ending at half-mast
Ignorance hangs therein, locked around your head

We are silent, far away from eachother
Still - we burn, silently - we burn
Attuned to sounds of night,
Our swords are whispering
