Poem: Untitled by Jillanna Babb

Untitled

I admired your light green wings as you transformed from leaf to butterfly. I watched you watching me from the shining hazel eyes of a wild rabbit in the brambles and in the darting figure of the red fox in pursuit of your dinner. Your sun sets and rises and you bathe in a mist of morning rain. I know you as you know me. The acknowledgment of our symmetry and our oddities glimmers in the darkness of my sadness, showing me the way to freedom.
