Poem: 'Bloody Curses' by James K. Blaylock

Bloody Curses
by James Kenneth Blaylock, 12-1/3-18

I don’t even remember ever meeting
a head vampire, but here I sit with a

bloody curse - messing with my boring
life - once a year - stirring up tiredness

nothing seems to be as it really should,
but who knows rightfully - it’s only blood

perhaps if I could make my way back
2000 years, I should touch Jesus’ hem
