Lyric Video Review: CLOCKWORK ASYLUM Zero To Oblivion by Sarah McKellar

Zero To Oblivion
From their new EP Eve Of The Eclipse
Clockwork Asylum is a five piece Southern Metal project hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee. “Zero to Oblivion” is one of the tracks from their 2017 EP- “Eve of the Eclipse”. A melodic introduction with a melancholy feel introduces “Zero to Oblivion” - before launching straight into a brutal, powerful and aggressive approach ensuring this track is not easily forgotten. Combining clean vocals and harsh screams throughout this track is one of the most noticeable aspects of “Zero to Oblivion”. A polished approach to all aspects throughout this track consistently ensures that the listener is kept engaged and interested. Consistent use of samples throughout “Zero to Oblivion” ensure a chaotic and rebellious feel to the track- adding another musical aspect to be appreciated. Clockwork Asylum display the polished, fast paced and cohesive aspects of those who genuinely love what they create and are decidedly unapologetic about it. A genuinely engaging, creative force to be reckoned with. -Sarah McKellar
