CD Review: LORD ALMIGHTY Paths

LORD ALMIGHTY
Paths
Independent
This release is a follow-up to Lord Almighty's EP from 2013, and without a doubt they charge back with intensity mixing the genres of Progressive and Black Metal. This variation is extremely welcome. Now the black metal genre and fans normally want to return to simply raw sounding, but this album won’t hurt. It has rawness in the vocals, but the music's attributes represent exceptional quality. Paths, presents thirteen tracks. The shortest is ‘Path IV’ at 41 seconds (which serves as intro to the next phase of the album) and the longest is ‘Desolate’ at over six minutes. Those familiar with progressive metal music in general will definitely get a deeper meaning with the music. Fret not this is a good album, with quality. Think Rush’s songs turned into black metal masterpieces. 9/10 -Baron Craze
