After a long and hectic day, I finally have the chance to sit down at my computer and listen to some tunes. It is now just before bed and I happened to come upon some vicious, violent goregrind from Russia. Demo 2018 by Muscles is a mincy, blasting goregrind assault tailored to leave your ear drums ringing violently. Sounding a lot like other mince/grind bands such as Agathocles and Dahmer, these guys might not have an entirely original sound... but they play it well. Clocking in at about four and a half minutes, this release is short... but it is still very well done. The production quality is also on par! The vocals range from high pitched shrieks to low pitched grunts and gurgles. The drums are mince-tastic, the guitar work low and chugging in pure old-school goregrind fashion. As this demo is so short, I will keep my review brief. In the time I could spend mentioning all the cool things about this release, you could easily listen to it yourself and make your own decision. Featuring six short tracks, this one is a winner. Check it out, home slice. Grind or die! -Devin Joseph Meaney
