Poem: "Losers" by Lukas Andrew Bryson

Losers
By Lukas Andrew Bryson

you could try to understand a bit
the reason that we do this;
it isn’t just addiction to prediction,
it’s a fiction
just to think that we could bring
anything new
to a table full of fable with a label.
we’re the losers, boozers,
choosers;
we drool blood, spit fire,
and never tire
from our self-destruction.
but things are not always as they gleam.
we have the means to break seams,
to treat life like a dream;
but in the end it always hurts
to be measured by the treasured
and to be considered trash.
