Have you ever driven by a store front with a neon sign that says “psychic readings”? It seems they’re everywhere and you would think that people would know better, right? Wrong! Statistics indicate that 3 out of 10 people believe in people claiming to have psychic powers.
People claiming to be psychics have been debunked countless times under controlled and observed environments. This includes card readers, palm readers, those who claim to communicate with the dead, water detectors, and those claiming to be clairvoyant, claiming to look into the past and future.
Even the Janes Randy Educational Foundation offered one million dollars to anyone who could prove their psychic abilities of all kinds for years and not one individual was able to pass scrutiny and win the prize.
I was recently shopping at a grocery store and a woman with a stench of tobacco stared at me as I walked through an aisle. She dug into her purse and pulled out a card and handed it to me. She whispered in a dramatic way: “I can help you”… I was quite offended when I realized the card was a business card for her psychic business. It really pissed me off that she thought I was stupid enough to believe in that crap. I just handed her back the card and told her that I didn’t believe in that kind of bullshit. She then replied that my comment wasn’t nice and that’s when I confronted her and loudly asked her if it was nice to take people’s money for bullshitting them. She quickly walked away from me.
All psychics have been debunked and when they’re caught with a false prediction or “vision” of theirs, they blow it off as “taking it out of context”.
If psychics were true and authentic, why did they all miss the global covid 19 plague ? Why aren’t we seeing any of them winning lottery jackpots? Why aren’t any of them getting anything they say right?
Let’s face it. Psychics are a multi million dollar scam because there are people who think they are truthful, the same way some people believe the existence of a god.
Many of them write books, have tv shows, online blogs and newspaper columns.
The most famous one was that arrogant (and dead at last) piece of shit named Sylvia Brown, who would make outrageous and false claims on the Montiel Williams show and people took her seriously. She erroneously stated that kidnap/rape victim, Amanda Berry was dead. Shortly after, Berry was rescued by the police from her captor alive. She also stated on tv that kidnap/rape victim, Shawn Hornbeck was also dead. Shortly after, Hirnbeck was also rescued alive from his sadistic captor.
Why isn’t the government cracking down on these con artists? Why aren’t they being prosecuted? Is the “entertainment” purposes loop hole in the law that big?
I must agree with whoever said that the first conman appeared when the first fool accepted lies as truth.
Hold on to your wallets, folks, psychics are ruthless cons who will take your money in exchange for comforting lies ….
