don’t continually bully the little guy
as he’ll grow tired of your brutality
allowing for a spine of impenetrable
steel to encompass his meager body
not necessarily, becoming a mutant,
but instead, mutating into a brilliantly
bright compass, charging the darkness,
so other broken peoples can see wholly
