A new poem.
Robert McDermott
The petals of your tongue
Were honey
Savored
Sweetness tinged with bitterness
Beginning of sensuousness
Lost amid the ambiguity
Of strained love
Seriousness or lust
Newfound and waning destiny
Awaiting amidst
Quagmire
True desire
A waltz wearing spiked shoes
Skating on sand
With hooves
Where do we stand
