Any Size Stone
Craig Michael
I want to be a rock, any size stone,
Tossed in the river, Just to be left alone.
I don’t want to be a gem, Mounted on a ring,
I don’t want to be a jewel, Nor a precious gift for a king.
I just want to be a rock,
To Lay around,
And do my own thing.
Now if I could be a boulder,
I definitely won’t end up a paper holder.
Maybe overlook a town,
Intimidate people, by rolling around.
Hey! If I was a boulder,
Then I’d never die!
Just get older and older.
Yeah! Life as a boulder.
But I wouldn’t mind being a rock,
Any size stone,
To be tossed in the river,
And for once be left alone….!
